Summary: We’ve stayed in about 20 vacation rentals to date and consider ourselves good judges of what makes one rental better than another. We can’t say enough superlatives about this cozy cottage. It was immaculate and charming, and to say that every need was met would be an understatement; there wasn’t a thing we could have needed that wasn’t provided, from micellar makeup remover pads in the bathroom to ‘s’mores fixings to use in the lovely outdoor fire pit, to fresh eggs in the fridge. The place is freshly and carefully renovated to provide esthetic appeal and comfort. The towels are thick and the beds and pillows are comfortable. If we had one quibble it would be the lack of AC units in 2 of the 3 bedrooms, but the weather was cool and we didn’t need it. For 4 adults, not having a bathroom associated with the master bedroom was a slight inconvenience. The location is lovely, with rolling country roads and nearby cute towns like Hawley and Narrowsburg, and fine restaurants and activities to enjoy. The property is child- and pet-safe, with multiple safety and play considerations. Overall, we can’t recommend this rental highly enough, with the two caveats mentioned above.
